My 86-year-old mother and I had just enjoyed a lovely movie and stopped in the mall for a bite to eat before heading home.
Something Mom ate caused her to experience severe indigestion. She managed to get up and walk over to a wall and then collapsed to the floor with extreme pain in her chest area.
Within seconds, a young couple stopped. He pulled out his cell and called an ambulance. Then a very kind man who obviously had some training in emergency situations was next to Mom, asking her all the right questions and assuring her that the ambulance would soon be there.
All three people stayed right with us until the ambulance arrived, and many others checked to make sure everything was looked after.
Mom was checked thoroughly once they got her into the ambulance and within 10 minutes all of her vital signs were strong. I was able to take her home.
Thanks to everyone who dropped everything they were doing to take such good care of us. We were truly blessed.
