I am a double amputee who went Christmas shopping two weeks ago in Polo Park.

I bought some gifts across the street at Canadian Tire, which I paid by my Interac card as I don’t carry cash with me. As I was boarding the bus to go back downtown to my home, I discovered that my wallet was missing.

I went back to Canadian Tire, but no one had seen it so I left my name and phone number in case someone turned it in. By the next day, I had received no word so I had to cancel and/or re-order my cards and identification.

Surprise, surprise, today I received a phone call from a Transit supervisor saying that he had my wallet and that he was delivering it to me personally! It seems someone had found my wallet and handed it over to a Transit driver who, in turn, handed it over to a supervisor.

As the Transit supervisor seemed to know me, he decided that he would give me an early Christmas present and deliver it to me personally!

What a gift! I would like to thank the Transit driver and the Transit supervisor for returning my wallet to me.
