I was at the Olive Garden with two of my girlfriends from school.
Over dinner, we were talking about our university classes for fall, money issues that come with being students among other things. Toward the end of our meal, our server asked if we wanted anything else. When we said no thanks, he informed us that the gentleman sitting at the next table was paying for our meals, and that everything was taken care of.
We were shocked and confused, as none of us had ever seen the man before.
When one of us went to his table to thank him, and ask why he did it, the man simply said that he wanted to pay it forward. He had overheard we were students, wanted to help us out and expected nothing in return.
It was one of the nicest gestures I’ve ever experienced, and we were all very grateful.
So, from the three of us, thank you, kind sir!
