Purse returned, she'll pay it forward
You are my hero and living proof that honest and kind people really do exist. They live in Winnipeg. I am still shaking just in the retelling of my story five days later.
Perhaps it was the excitement of the Jets’ win over Philadelphia that distracted me. But I foolishly forgot my purse at my seat at the MTS Centre.
Fortunately what began as a nightmare had a happy ending. A wonderful person returned it to security staff who then brought it to customer service.
Not only did I get my purse back, but it was with all its contents.
I was so relieved, as the thoughts of canceling my credit cards, especially at this time of Christmas shopping, and replacing my ID overwhelmed me.
To this anonymous person, I send a most sincere and grateful thank you. Rest assured that I will "pay it forward" at every opportunity.
I also want to thank the staff at the MTS Centre as they were very helpful and empathetic and went out of their way to assist me.
