  • So impressed by her thoughtfulness

My wife and I were taking care of some personal errands. We were in the vicinity of Notre Dame Avenue so she suggested we stop at nearby Jeannie’s Bakery and pick up a dessert treat for supper.

  • So many helpers after fall

I tripped and fell near the front of the Manitoba Liquor Commission building on the corner of Osborne Street and River Avenue.

  • Thanks again, Reynold

Recently in my rush to get to the hospital, I forgot to bring an item I needed.

  • Eagle-eyed grandson saves day

I lost a set of keys, probably on Scotswood Drive while heading to catch the bus on Feb. 13.

  • Kind knights to the rescue

I was really stuck on the unplowed street and tried to get myself out by getting cat litter out of the trunk and with the aid of my cane, putting it in the deep holes I had already made.

  • Cops solve the case

Hats off to our Winnipeg Police Service.

  • Great bus driver makes her day

My mother was getting off the No. 2 bus when the driver complimented her on the colors she was wearing.

  • Kindness ends frantic search

Thank you to the kind, honest woman in the St. Vital Wal-Mart parking lot who found my wallet left in the shopping cart.

  • Hats off to Barry, the chef

My family and I decided to go out for a special breakfast after church one Sunday morning. We had heard that the restaurant in the Nor-Villa Hotel had a fairly new one and served an awesome breakfast buffet.

  • Thank you to the beautiful people

My daughter and I spent the day shopping for a vintage chair to repurpose for her apartment.

  • Honest people in our city

We took my mom out for a late lunch at the Norwood Hotel.

  • Thankful for helpful neighbours

My son and I planned to spend the day together doing errands. We bundled up and headed out.

  • Annoyance turns to happiness

I was rushing to get to a meeting downtown on a sunny afternoon when a short girl in a hoodie and jeans tapped me on the shoulder. At first I was annoyed that I was being stopped on my way to the meeting, but as I turned around I saw that the girl held out a pack of my Sheriff cigarettes.

  • Thanks for “watching over purse”

I would like to thank the two ladies who “watched over” my purse which I accidently left on a chair at The Forks.

  • Nice note left

I parked my car in the lot on Hargrave Street and Graham Avenue and hurried off to my early morning meeting.

  • People, especially this one, are wonderful

My trip to SuperStore turned out to be a reaffirmation of the good in humanity.

  • Thank you, Bob

We had been excitedly awaiting our container of coffee. Our plan was for the truck driver to spot the container in front of our garage, and we would simple unload it directly into the garage.

  • Went the extra mile

My husband and I finally went on a long-delayed trip to Cuba. We travelled to Winnipeg from out of town, stayed overnight at a hotel near the airport and loaded up our truck around 2:30 a.m. to head to our flight.

  • Saved by inches

Every once in a while, you hear about God’s angels here on Earth. To actually experience their grace is truly a miracle.

  • Thanks for wallet returned

I want to say a huge thank you to a very kind and wonderful person who came to my home to give me my wallet that I lost in the Superstore parking lot on McPhillips Street.
