Senior grateful for kind cabbie

  • Print

ABOUT mid-February, I returned to my home from an evening event at 3 a.m. in the Dignity taxi. I am 78 years old and use a walker.

The cab driver accompanied me to my door and placed my walker inside the front hallway. To my dismay, I found I had not closed the door completely when I left for the evening. It was slightly ajar.

I asked the cab driver if he would check to see that everything was in order. He offered to check the rooms to see no one had broken in. He was very obliging. I wish to express my gratitude to the gentleman for his act of kindness. I will pay his kind deed forward.
