Setting a great example for the kiddies

Our family went to Kildonan Place to see a movie on a very cold that night.

We were rushing through the parking lot, keeping track of the kids, watching for cars, trying to get to the warm indoors. My husband forgot to change his glasses and ran back to the vehicle to get his correct pair. In a hurry, he grabbed his glasses, locked the doors, and inadvertently left the key outside in the door lock.

We watched the movie, went to leave and discovered we didn’t have the key for our vehicle. We checked the theatre floors near us. No luck finding our keys, but we did find someone else’s wallet! Turned it in to the lost and found, but still no key.

We walked outside to our vehicle; no key. While I called CAA for help, my husband went and checked at the info booth, and some young lady had turned our key in. We also eventually found the note left for us on our windshield, telling us the key was at the info booth and wishing us Happy Holidays.

Thank you so much. What could have been a very easy theft ended up being a wonderful Christmas gift. We are truly grateful for your honesty. You set a great example for our children who were with us: help others even if you don’t know them.
