Sid safe again

Last summer, my family’s Maine Coon cat, Sid, escaped from our yard in Island Lakes one night.

Later that night, long after we had gone to bed and thought Sid was inside, we received a call from the Pembina Veterinary Hospital telling us that Sid had been brought in. He had been hit by a car.

Miraculously, someone had taken the time to pick up my cat off the road after dark that night, contact the Pembina Veterinary Hospital emergency service, and drive 20 minutes out of their way to take him in.

I don’t know if it was the driver of the car that hit him, or if it was a Good Samaritan passing by who took him in, but whoever you are, you saved my cat’s life.

As a result of your selflessness and quick action, Sid only suffered a broken pelvis and healed quickly, and is now back to his regular self. The only lingering injury is to his pride!
