Special treat refreshing, humbling
We went to Kenora from Echo Bay to have lunch at the Inn on the Lake with three other couples. Two were our lake neighbours and the third knew the other couple and my husband.
It was a beautiful, calm, sunny day, and we enjoyed watching the boats and airplanes over and on the lake.
After just over two hours of storytelling and enjoying our lunch, we asked for our bills.
Our charming server left only to return in about two minutes. It turned out that another guest seated behind us who knew the other two couples had "taken care of you bills."
Needless to say, we were all surprised and thrilled — especially my husband and I because we had never met the gentleman who had left before us.
So to him, I say, thank you, God bless. It was most appreciated and in times when many stories are of nasty happenings, it’s humbling and refreshing to be treated so nicely.
