Winnipeg Free Press - ONLINE EDITION
Staff went the extra mile
I put a 65th wedding anniversary celebration ad in the Free Press for my mom and dad. I saved a copy of the paper only to discover that my husband threw it out while I was in the hospital.
I was in hospital for almost a month, and I had him go to the Free Press during this time to retrieve our original photos. The staff returned our photo but could not find a copy of the ad.
We were disappointed at not having a copy, but what a wonderful surprise it was when I found, among the many get well cards I received in the mail, an envelope from the Free Press with a copy of my parents’ ad in it.
A huge thank you to the staff for going the extra mile.
