Thanks for integrity

I take my 90-year-old auntie shopping every week.

We were at Extra Foods on Regent Avenue when I heard an announcement over the intercom for the owner of a particular make, color and model of car to come to Checkout 2.

I had my auntie in-tow and when we arrived at the checkout, a young lady had my auntie’s wallet and asked if this belonged to one of us. I said it was my auntie’s. She asked my auntie for her name to check and then this kind individual handed my auntie her wallet and explained that she found it laying beside my car passenger side.

My auntie was shocked and gave this lovely lady a hug and thank you.

Everything was in its place in the wallet, including her grocery money and the birthday money she had just taken out for her great-niece that day.

My auntie and I are very grateful for this kind lady and want to thank her for her thoughtfulness, honesty and integrity.
