Thanks for purse’s return

I wish to express my sincere thanks to the lady who returned my purse after I left it in a shopping cart in the Safeway parking lot on Kildare Avenue on Friday the 13th (wouldn’t you know.)

When I arrived home and realized what I had done, I was just sick at heart and was sure it would be gone. I live only 5 minutes from the store so I dashed back to confirm my worst fears, and yes, it was gone!

I then checked at the store to see if it had been returned there, and no it had not. I just had to face the reality that it was gone and all the things that would have to be done because of this loss. All our credit cards, bank cards, my drivers licence and so on would all have to be canceled and then reissued.

When I arrived home and parked in the garage, my husband came out the back door waving my purse. What a great relief that was! He knew nothing of what had happened only that this very kind lady came with my purse saying she found it in the shopping cart and fearing for its safety, checked for identification and knew our street so she thought she would just drop it off.

Unfortunately, as he was taken somewhat unaware, he did not get her name so I was unable to thank her properly.

Thanks again.
