Thanks to the angels

My 89-year-old, very independent mother-in-law was walking home from a bit of shopping.

She was concentrating on the letter she intended to write to the mayor in regards to the condition of the sidewalks when she stumbled and fell on Talbot Avenue near Kent Road.

A car stopped and a man by the name of Steve helped her. Then a lady stopped and proceeded to do some first aid on my mother-in-law’s chin.

Steve asked where she wanted to go and she said to the hospital at which point he proceeded to take her there and took the time to phone her son to tell him of the event.

We, all her family, would like to extend a big thank you to both Steve and the lady for your compassion. Mother has fallen a few times lately and so far she has done more damage to her pride then her body. Fortunately, this time was no exception.

We are very grateful to those angels who take a moment to help.
