Thanks to the truck driver with the stiletto

  • Print

My daughter and I were in a car accident Jan. 10 at lunch time on Henderson Highway.

I just want to thank the young lady who showed up at my driver’s door to make sure I was OK and ask if she could help.

She asked if she could help move the car off the road as it was stuck across two lanes. Due to the damage we were unable to move the car, it had to be towed.

I did not initially know where she came from as I was pretty shaken up, but it turned out she had jumped out of a big transport truck. She put out an orange warning sign to protect me and my daughter while we were getting the particulars of the other driver involved and calling police and a tow truck.

When I saw her start to drive away, I asked if she wanted her warning sign and she said no: "Keep it and be safe." I was shaken up enough I did not think to get her name or her company name. I can remember the stiletto shoe printed on the door of her truck, and it might have said Stiletto Trucking.

I say thank you to this wonderful woman who helped out a stranger. She must have stayed at the scene for a least 20 minutes, and I can only hope this did not cause her any grief at work. She was a true hero for my daughter and me, which I will never forget.
