The wonderful staff’s present
It was Christmas Eve and I was at the McDonald’s on St. Anne’s Road, reading my Kobo e- reader, when my friend came so I put it in my bag.
After having our drinks, we left to catch the bus home. I got off the bus before I realized I didn’t have my bag.
I got home and called McDonald’s, and they said it wasn’t there. I called transit and tried to track it down that way, but I couldn’t find it.
The next day, I called McDonald’s and asked Josh, the manager, if they could check the tape to made sure I left with it. They checked and I had left with it.
On Boxing Day, Josh, the manager, called me to ask me if someone turned it in. I told him I hadn’t heard anything. He asked if I was coming in that afternoon, and I told him my friend and I would be in later.
We were having our drink when Josh asked if he could speak to me. He handed me a letter saying here was a gift from the staff.
The wonderful staff at that McDonald’s had donated money and bought me another Kobo e-reader.
