Several weeks ago I wrote about the acts of kindness in getting to the St. Boniface Hospital after my fall and staying there for seven weeks.
But I forgot to mention many more acts of kindness. I was visited by many friends and received flowers and cards. These visits meant a lot to me. Thank you so much for coming.
I want to thank my friend, Anne Thiessen, who shopped for a pair of slacks for me that would fit over my zimmer-splinted leg. They were so useful.
But my special thanks go to my sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Perry Exley. They came several times each week. They brought me my toothbrush supplies, my vitamins, books to read, food to eat (peanut butter, vegetables, almonds and glucerna bars).
They also brought me my mail and messages from my answering machine. Then before I could return home, they brought me clothes to wear.
I am so very thankful for all they did for me. It made my stay in the hospital so much more pleasant.
