Took time to do the right thing
I went swimming at the Elmwood Kildonans Pool. I was changing to leave when I put a small coin wallet on the bench. At times, I have put my necklace, keys or pieces of ID in it.
Later, when I realized that I did not have it, I returned to the pool. I was quite doubtful that it would still be there. I checked at the front desk first and they said an elderly gentleman found it and dropped it off with them.
It was not the fact that there was not much money in it, but the point was that this gentleman took the time to do the right thing. Too many times we focus on all the negative and do not realize all the good that is happening around us every day.
To that gentleman, thank you so much. If you are reading this then you know who you are.
I will pass this kindness on.
