Will always remember the kindness

  • Print

I had a doctor’s appointment downtown at the Winnipeg Clinic on Vaughan Street and St. Mary Avenue.

I went early as parking is so hard to get, and I can’t walk far due to a bad hip. I found a spot in a lot on Vaughan and started trying to pay for two hours of parking with my Master Card. I didn’t have the $5.50 required in change.

Try as I would, I couldn’t make the machine take my card. A lady waiting patiently behind me said she would try hers so I cancelled my transaction to let her go ahead.

I didn’t realize it, but she meant to pay for mine, and she did so! I tried to pay her from my purse in the car, and she just said, "No, you go ahead!"

I will always remember her kindness and thank her again from here.
