I want to tell you about our Knight on Nottingham Avenue.
On a Sunday morning, my husband and I were moving a large, upholstered chair out to our car to take to our daughter’s apartment. My husband decided to go and get our two-wheel trolley to help with the move.
I was standing beside the chair which we had moved to the front step of our home. Along came a car and a young man called out the window, "Do you need help?" I said yes, we did and although I insisted my husband would help him carry it, he said "No, it isn’t heavy, I can carry it myself."
He was young, strong and tall and hoisted the chair up and deposited it in the back of our car. He left with a parting, "Have a good day," and we certainly did.
We do pass on help and kindness to others and have received much back, but I think other than friendly smiles and chats, this might be the first time a stranger was so very kind and helpful to us.
If you read this young man, you have a beautiful heart.
