We're heading into this period of economic uncertainty. And yes, people are worried about their jobs.So then today comes this salve from Statistics Canada. In September we created over 100,000 new jobs.Wow. That's kind of amazing considering all the reasons that shouldn't have happened. Now, it's true most of those jobs were part time. But what I found the most interesting is that apparently 15,000 of those jobs were created by, wait for it, the election itself. You know, all those Elections Canada workers, party workers, pollsters etc, hired to make the 38-day campaign run smoothly. So I know this is a really weird thought but maybe if we elect another minority and we're suddenly desperate for jobs, the government's job creation strategy could be to just call another election!
