Winnipeg Free Press - ONLINE EDITION
Thank you, thank you very much
As I'm writing this, the turkey is browning in the oven, the potatoes boiling and the yam and apple dish (a new recipe this year) cooking.
I've got 10 people sitting down for dinner tonight and I'm thankful for each one of them. Today's column (http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/subscriber/columnists/top3/story/4237760p-4880930c.html) details some of what I'm grateful this year. It's a half silly, half serious piece.
At the end of the day, I thankful for my family, my close friends and my health.
Slightly further down the list? My readers and blogging companions. You make it fun and frustrating and always challenging.
On that subject, this may the last post for a while.
As many of you know, the Free Press is in conciliation talks with the union representing inside workers. To put it bluntly, I may be walking a picket line tomorrow.
I hope it doesn't come to that. If it does, know I'll miss you all until it's over. In the meantime, talk amongst yourselves. What are you grateful for this year?
