Red Bull gives you wins!

This weekend saw Round 3 of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship take place in the hot and humid climate of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

After two extremely disappointing races for Sebastien Vettel, the young German finally made things work and was able to take home his first win of the 2010 season. In the first two grand prix of the season, Vettel was clearly the class of the field and easily lead both races until his Red Bull car failed him each time.

But Malaysia has proven to be different and not only did the Red Bull cars last till the end of the race, they absolutely dominated it!

From pole, Red Bull driver Mark Webber managed to lose the lead by Turn 1 as team-mate Vettel, who started from 3rd, came slicing past. Unlike last weekend in Melbourne, Webber decided NOT to hit everything around him and finished 2nd making it a Red Bull one-two. Rounding out the podium was Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg.

The weather has definitely been the talk of the Formula 1 paddock all weekend long. After the unpredictable weather of qualifying, which caught out both McLaren and Ferrari, the race proved to be a dry affair with very little drama.

I will always love and be entertained by watching a Formula 1 race, however this one was close to as boring as they come. Undoubtedly the banning of in race refuelling has really put a damper on the excitement of Formula 1 racing this season.

Other notable events during the race…

- Michael Schumacher lost a rear wheel-nut and was forced to pull out of the race

- Fernando Alonso’s Ferrari was struggling with down-shifting issues throughout the race and his engine finally gave out on him in the last few laps while chasing down 2009 World Champion, Jenson Button

- Adrian Sutil managed to hold of Lewis Hamilton and impressed with a 5th place finish in his Force India
