On the Nighttable: Gordon Pinsent
Gordon Pinsent
Toronto-based actor
"John Irving's novel In One Person was the last book I've read. In it, he borrows from his own persona more than he ever has before. In interviews he suggests he has gone a touch deeper into his life's experience in its writing. I recently took part in a stage presentation whereby a few of us read from certain entries for the Weston prize. Mine was Solar Dance: Genius, Forgery and the Crisis of Truth in the Modern Age by Modris Eksteins. I'm only as far as Genius."
