A book I couldn't put down was Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. It's the true story of a Second World War American bombardier, Louis Zamperini, who survived a crash in the Pacific. I had started in the middle, as he's been strafed by a Japanese bomber, and then he fights off shark attacks with his oars, then survives 21/2 years in Japanese POW camps. I then went back to read from the beginning, only to find out he was an Olympic runner and met Hitler in 1936 and that he is still alive in his 90s. Incredible! Next up is Vinyl Junkies, about collecting records (I admit to having an issue) and then The Lost Cyclist, about an American who disappeared in Turkey in 1894 as he attempted to navigate the globe on a bicycle. I do like historical stories."
