Winnipeg Free Press - PRINT EDITION
One to watch: Naomi Wolf
She's already achieved acclaim as a leader of what's been called the third wave of the feminist movement.
And now the American author has a new book out that, how shall we say, has a rather provocative title.
Vagina: A new biography is set to hit bookstores and no doubt create waves as Wolf explains how sexist language can wreck women's lives.
"Could a profound connection between a woman's brain and her experience of her vagina affect her greater sense of creativity -- even her consciousness?'' asks her website in a promotion for the new book.
We don't have the answer to that question, but given the way Fifty Shades of Grey has aroused reader interest, Wolf could soon be rocketing to the top of bestseller lists.
