Letter of the Day
Let’s be good neighbours
Re: Sandy smashes U.S. northeast (Oct. 31). We are witness to flooding, serious power outages and heavy snowfall affecting millions of our closest neighbours.
In Manitoba, we have lots of experience with flooding and snow and we have the equipment to back it up. We also have some of the best and most reliable hydro professionals anywhere. I would ask Premier Greg Selinger what our province has offered, in the way of concrete help, to the governors of the affected states. In my opinion, they would be the first to step up if we suffered anywhere close to this type of disaster.
