More than 12,000 Christians filled the MTS Centre Sunday for the One Heart rally. Online comments reveal that Winnipeggers are far from united in their opinion of the gathering.
So if they’re so unified, why the division into different churches? You’d think God would have been capable of wording his book so that it wasn’t open to such diversified interpretation.

It’s at times like this that I thank god I am an Atheist.

Why so many complaints? They rented the building. Nothing else was going on. Should we expect to see a pile of complaints when Monster Jam shows up too? If you don’t subscribe to their club, so what? I don’t, and could care less. They’re having a good time. Let them be!
I was at MTS Centre this morning. It was an awesome time of worship. You all have a choice in what or whether to believe. I believe I am here on earth for a purpose. Some might feel they HAVE no purpose. Maybe it’s just about looking out for #1. For others their purpose may be all about serving others. But when you take your last breath on this earth... well, I guess each one of us will find out what it was all about. I choose to believe in God and a promise of a life hereafter. What happens if I’m wrong?
Nothing. But if I’m right... well, I will find myself in the presence of God Himself, into eternity.
Seriously Free Press why allow comments on a story like this. Christians are free to worship in Canada as are other faiths and shouldn’t be mocked and attacked for their faith by a bunch of atheists, non-believers and clowns. I believe these people are free to say what they want, but what is the point — a comment section full of hate for Christians! If this was a Jewish or Muslim gathering I can imagine most of these comments would be removed.

So that’s why Tebow was so good today.
I am not a church-goer, but I don’t deny those who are. I choose to respect God, Jesus and their followers. I am, what I believe is labelled, ‘agnostic’. I am not sure where my soul will end up when my body is through with earth, but I was raised to be a decent human being by my parents (the human ones). It doesn’t affect me if some folks choose to worship in a specific building as a specific group, so pray on!
I will continue to sleep in on Sunday and treat others as I hope to be treated. I am crossing my fingers, I guess, that no one with a good heart will suffer in fire and brimstone for all eternity.
What the haters on here don’t understand, is that virtually all the problems in the world are caused by Man (and woman). Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God will swoop in like Superman and stop all the hate, war, jealousy, indifference, etc caused by man whenever it happens. God gives you the freedom to choose. Many people in the world are making bad choices.
For all those criticizing Atheism, lets get our terms right. Atheism is not believing in any gods. That’s it. The way you think about Hercules, that’s how we think about Jesus.
Communism is not atheism. Some communists were atheist, but atheism doesn’t lead one to be a communist. You can be atheist and be anywhere on the political spectrum. Some atheists are bad people some are good. Same as with Christians, same as with Muslims. My issue with religions is that there is no evidence that they are true and the absence of evidence is deafening.
