Hey there, time traveller!

I enjoyed Kevin Prokosh's very kind piece about the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre's production of A Few Good Men (Staging Sorkin, Oct. 18), and I wish the cast and crew all the best with the run.
I wanted to respectfully correct the director, James MacDonald, on one point -- Col. Jessep's line "You can't handle the truth" has been in the play since the very first draft (even the cocktail napkins).
And while there's no question that Jack Nicholson gave a tremendous performance in the film adaptation -- earning every inch of his Oscar nomination for best supporting actor -- no credit should be taken away from Stephen Lang, the first actor to perform the role on Broadway.
Again, thank you for the piece, best of luck to the RMTC production, and I hope the theatregoers of Winnipeg enjoy the play.
