At what point in time did the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, described in early maquettes as a white dove of peace with enfolded wings, mutate into a grey brooding pigeon (Public invited to let CMHR speak to them, May 30)?
I recall reading that the architect was inspired by Manitoba's clear skies and our expanse of winter snow, and that the building's exterior materials would mirror those natural elements.
When and why did the proposed crystal palace start turning leaden grey?
