Albertan impressed by province

Recently, a friend and I had the opportunity to attend the induction of his brother to the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame in Morden, and we took this opportunity to explore a little bit of Manitoba and Winnipeg as tourists.

Since coming home to Alberta, I have been expounding on the wonderful time we had as your guests. You have a wonderful city, a beautiful province and delightful people. Thank you.

We took in museums, patios and shops and did many walks. The information on the trails in the downtown provided a great learning experience.

Often we forget what we have in our own country and how blessed we are. The people, no matter what their ethnicity or era, have built this great country with proud, collective hands.

Since we will be in Alberta for Canada Day, let me wish all of you in advance a very happy Canada Day. And thank you again for your gracious hospitality.
