Letter of the Day

At least we have Tims

Re: U.S. giant hungry for Rona (Aug. 1). It is high time someone stood up to the huge business giants from the United States. Bravo to Quebec for trying to fend off a hostile takeover of Rona by Lowe's.

We have almost nothing left that is truly Canadian anymore with Target changing almost all of the Zellers stores into Targets and closing the rest. Can we not maintain a little national pride and tell the U.S. not all of Canada is for sale? Not everything is about the almighty dollar.
