I think it is sad and actually disrespectful that the bridge over the Red River in the North Kildonan area is always referred to as "the Chief Peguis Bridge."
It is not the Chief Peguis Bridge. It is the Kildonan Settlers Bridge, and the names of those principal settlers are clearly displayed on the various upright signs that are visible as we cross that lovely bridge in both directions.
