Letter of the Day

By this weekend, for sure

  • Print

So these weather models haven't been too accurate lately. For the last six weeks, perhaps longer, we've heard warmer weather of 5 to 8 degrees C is always a week or less away.

A case in point: Last week, we were told 8 C by Friday, then it was the weekend, then it was Monday and Tuesday, then Tuesday and Wednesday. Now, lo and behold, the nicer weather is now scheduled for this coming Friday.

That's until it will be rescheduled a week later, and on and on and on. Why is it that the snow predictions are always on the money, but warmer weather never is?
