Letter of the Day
Disappointed by Obama
Here's how one very disappointed American feels about the man we elected president.
I did not vote for President Barack Obama, but having seen Jack Kennedy in 1960 overcome the stigma against a Catholic becoming president, I thought it might have been a good thing the country had elected a person of colour who had broken another barrier.
Boy, was I wrong. We didn't elect a fine representative of a race who would open the door of opportunity for all Americans. What we did elect was a slick, silver-tongued Chicago politician. He immediately set out to further divide the country into camps, all with self-interests who could be counted on to support him as he proceeded to demolish those principles unique to our great country and for which I fought. This man is one huge disappointment.
Here's my offer. We'll trade our Obama for your Harper any time.
