Dying for some answers

  • Print

Re: So very sorry to hear you're dying (July 2). Concerning the new use of greeting cards to comfort those about to expire, does this mean that if the card is lost in the mail I won't?

Is this a new way for doctors to break the bad news to their patients? Can I return the card to Hallmark if the person recovers? Can you send this as a singing telegram if the forthcoming deceased is short-sighted or can't read?

Can I ask what he'll be doing with his Jets tickets? Can I send this postage-due to a dying cheapskate? Is it wishful thinking if I send it to a person I don't like?

And what if their first language isn't English? An improper translation could kill them. Just ensure it comes in a plain envelope, because this is one Hallmark card I'm not dying to get.
