Re: Everyone's a critic, almost (Letters, Sept. 30). As the Bombers continue to look for answers to their dismal showing this year, the spotlight will inevitably fall before long on their coach, Tim Burke.
Before we are too quick to blame him unduly for the Bombers' plight, let's remember the Bombers' most successful coach, Bud Grant, who led the team to four Grey Cup wins, did not always have successful years either.
In 1964, Grant's record with the Bombers was one win, 14 losses and one tie. Burke, given the opportunity and the players, could yet turn this team around.
