What a condescending headline is Idle No More: They're back (Aug. 15). Is it some sort of weak reference to the movie Poltergeist, which has been done a zillion times? Also, it instantly labels the protesters as "they" versus "the rest of us."
By the way, who are "they'? All aboriginals? Some aboriginals? Some aboriginals and some non-aboriginals?
If you show up at an Idle No More protest, are you now one of "them"? If I agree with some of the Idle No More points but disagree with others, am I "sort of them"?
The first step in understanding (not necessarily agreeing) is to stop labelling.
