Re: Being with baby a no-brainer decision for Jets captain, March 27.

Bravo to Winnipeg Jets captain Andrew Ladd for putting his family before a hockey game (or anything else, for that matter).

Everything comes after family has been taken care of. I've not heard or read any of the negative comments about Ladd's decision to return to Winnipeg to be with his wife, Brandy, and his precious little girl, but I'm not surprised.

Regardless, they were made by small-minded people who have either never experienced the overwhelming joy and privilege of becoming a parent or have never accepted and fulfilled their responsibility as a parent.
