Here are some other numbers to add to the sidebar Goldeyes facts at a glance to your May 2 feature Party planning:
-- $434,149 -- Total amount of money loaned to the Winnipeg Goldeyes from the Crocus Investment Fund in 1999 and 2000.
-- $305,863 -- Amount of claim filed against the Goldeyes for unpaid interest on those loans as of Nov. 29, 2006, by the Crocus receiver.
-- $1,117,149 -- Amount of adjusted claim that included the principal and unpaid interest as of Dec. 31, 2011.
While the Goldeyes season starts May 17, there is still no date scheduled for a trial for this case. The last action was in June 2012, when the statement of claim and statement of defence were finally amended and filed.
The Goldeyes have also not negotiated an exit agreement with the receiver of the Crocus fund for the original $576,851 in common shares that were purchased by the fund. This despite the fund having been placed in receivership in 2005.
