It's cold to the touch, too

Yikes! I had to phone up a government scientist and ask, "What's that white stuff falling out of the sky?" "Why, that's snow," she said, "You remember that, don't you?" "Umm, sort of," I replied, "but not sure."

Snow! Carefully opening my back door and looking out, I wondered how would I get out of the house. There must have been two or three centimetres of the stuff! Perhaps Mayor Katz should call out the army.

There, next to the door, was this odd-looking gadget with a long stick and a curved aluminum blade. For the rose beds, I thought. Then it all came back to me -- that was a snow shovel. Yes, a snow shovel. Snow -- we used to get that here in Winnipeg.
