Letter of the Day
Just the downtown ticket
Re: Paying more to park in core (July 6). What a great idea to double the parking rates in the downtown. This should definitely get a lot more people shopping and spending time in the centre of the city. After all, who does not dream of a chance to help the city get more of their money to help with administration expenses.
And the other great idea is to have people move their cars after two hours. Wow. This will be great in the winter to help keep the car warm when it is -30 C and super windy outside.
What genius. This will certainly provide more opportunities for parking spaces. I know my space will always be available for anybody else to use.
