Letter of the Day

Leave it until Nov. 12

I can't understand why there is such a problem with everyone trying to determine the start of the Christmas music, sales and promotional season (Shoppers to can Christmas music, Nov. 3).

I would think the most obvious day would be Nov. 12, the day after Remembrance Day. Let's wear our poppies proudly and spend the time remembering the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our peace so we can still celebrate Christmas in our own way.

If truth be told, I don't think anyone is going to miss the 12 extra days of Christmas sales, music and promotions.
