Re: Museum funding in limbo (Nov. 6). If we lose our history and memories, what have we got left?

As a volunteer at Dalnavert for more than 25 years, I have seen thousands of children and their parents and tourists from all over the world visit this most remarkable piece of Winnipeg's history.

I have seen total dedication by long-time curator Tim Worth until he was cruelly forced from his job some years ago, and I myself had no choice, because of old age and ill health, but to abandon my beloved job as tour guide to this beautiful home.

Please, I beg of someone with foresight and energy to do everything possible to keep this magnificent building open to the public.

Jets, Bombers and rock stars come and go. But our past is part of us and deserves to live.
