As most Winnipeggers probably already know, The Forks is a designated green space as well as a national park. After reading your Nov. 19 story Mixed-use development at Forks: public, it has finally dawned on me that the term "green space" actually refers to a space where developers rake in the green, and that the word "park" is an abbreviation for "parking lot."
I get it now. Duh! Here's an idea. Let's just pave the whole site over and be done with it. In no time, it would most definitely evolve into one great spirited energetic national pothole park. What could be more emblematic of our one great city than that?
