Re: English Canada fuels separatists, Letters, March 25.
In his letter, Chuck Kroeker wrote "If there's one thing English Canadians are really good at, it's feeling morally smug and superior."
Well, the shoe has been on the other foot for the last 50 years, hasn't it? Quebec has been telling the rest of Canada that they're distinct and different ad nauseam. We're just realizing that statement's not true.
Quebecers are just the same as the rest of Canada: They want to work, they want to provide for their family, they don't want to be overly taxed, and they want good government.
Some of us may speak different languages, but the needs of people are pretty much the same.
It's the politicians on all sides who are fuelling talk of separatism.
