'Unbecoming and intolerable'

  • Print

Re: Tory worker faces robocall charge (April 3). If anyone deserves to be taken out to the woodshed for leading Canadian electors astray, it is Elections Canada, aided and abetted by a compliant media.

No one has asked hard questions or demanded evidence of the allegedly sinister "robocalls" that have become a household name, thanks to EC bureaucrats chasing down rumours, innuendo, malicious gossip, self-righteous accusations and politically motivated complaints. To be fair, EC has blocked requests for information as confidential.

EC has evolved into a salon of sanctimonious scoundrels incapable of applying our federal election laws and processes even-handedly and fairly. We must not go to the polls again in 2015 with the current incompetent bureaucracy in charge of Elections Canada.

Spending millions of our tax dollars on a two-year witch hunt and finding no witches is an inescapable example of bureaucratic bungling and a waste of our tax dollars. The secrecy is unbecoming and intolerable. We have a right to know where EC went off the rails and why. Repeat performances are not acceptable.
