Giving out three honorary degrees

The University of Winnipeg held a special convocation ceremony on March 26 to honour three people who have made a difference in the world. Musician and philanthropist Chantal Kreviazuk received an Honorary Doctor of Letters. Dr. Denis Mukwege, known for co-founding Panzi Hospital as a refuge for women who have been sexually abused in Bukavu, received an Honorary Doctor of Laws. Joseph Stern, who helped to shape Canadian refugee policy, received an Honorary Doctor of Laws.
