Cartier residents age 55 and over are invited to participate in activities offered through the Cartier Senior Citizens Support Committee.
A meal program is held at Elie Manor from Monday to Friday at 5:30 p.m. for a $6 cost. Please call 204-353-2470 the day before you plan to attend, or sign up at the Manor.
A weekly lunch program is being held at St. Eustache Manor on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. Please call 204-353-2470 the day before or sign up at the Manor.
On May 15, a Central Plains CancerCare information session focussing on nutrition will be held at Elie Manor at 1 p.m.
A pancake supper fundraiser for the Senior Citizens Support Committee will be held on May 23 at Elie Manor from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The cost for adults is $6 and $3 for children.
On May 27, a trip to South Beach Casino is scheduled, with the bus leaving the Elie Vets Hall at 10 a.m. The $20 cost includes transportation and a buffet lunch. Travellers will play bingo on the trip.
Baseball fans can sign up for a trip on May 29 to see a Winnipeg Goldeyes game for a $10 transportation fee. The bus will leave at 9:15 a.m. from the Vets Hall.
