Calling all yard sale fans

  • Print

If you like to look for treasures at yard and garage sales, mark Sat., May 24 on your calendar.
That’s the day on which St. Francois Xavier Community Club and many local residents are joining in a town-wide yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Community Club convenor Amber Gallant said there will be 40 tables featuring crafts, yard sale items and other merchandise set up inside the club (983 Highway 26) and this is where you can pick up a map showing the homes of residents who are also selling their goods.

The Boston Terrier and Pug Rescue of Southern Manitoba and Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue are setting up tents in the club’s parking lot to raise public awareness and arrange for dog adoptions.

Instead of boxing up any items that didn’t sell, you can bring them to the club on Sun., May 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
