You can’t judge a municipality by its website, but a new one can make it look a whole lot better.
RM of Rosser reeve Frances Smee is proud of the new municipal site at rmofrosser.com that replaced the former site a few weeks ago.
"Our original site was lacking," she said.
Council hired a company that works with municipalities to design effective sites, and they explained what they wanted to include. The new site contains four main sections: government, CentrePort, residents, and recreation.
Smee said the site is part of council’s move towards improving communications with local residents. Council approved $6,800 to be spent on the redesign.
"It was part of our communications plan to go forward."
So far, the new site has garnered positive feedback, but Smee encourages users to contact the municipality with their comments and suggestions.
As well, she hopes that the new site will be filled with information about local events and become a dynamic resource for the municipality’s residents.
